This free tool removes EXIF metadata, including the GPS location, from JPG, PNG and HEIC photos, and lets you edit the date, camera and location instead. It also works with ZIP archives of images, up to 20 MB.
Open the page, drop a JPG, PNG or HEIC photo (or a ZIP archive) into the upload area, press Clean EXIF and download the cleaned file.
EXIF is metadata stored inside a photo: camera make and model, lens, exposure settings, the date and time, and often the GPS coordinates where the photo was taken.
The GPS location and the date can reveal where you live or when you were somewhere. Removing EXIF before you share a photo keeps that information private.
